Hi, I’m Chris, the founder of LangRelay.
I’ve worked on websites of every size, from large e-commerce stores to small sites with a handful of pages. Whatever the size, one part was always a pain: translation. And on WordPress it was worse.
Most WordPress translation plugins want you to duplicate every post and page for each language. After that, every edit to the original has to be made again in each copy, and the copies drift out of date without anyone noticing.
Eventually we settled on Weglot. It did the job. But as the sites and languages grew, so did the bill, and over time it became expensive.
Meanwhile, AI got genuinely good at language. I wanted more from my translation tools than a bigger string editor, and I couldn’t find it anywhere.
What I was looking for
I wanted to hook translation up to my own Claude over MCP and handle it on the fly. “Update the German pricing page,” and it’s done, without opening yet another dashboard.
I wanted agents that review pages like language experts: reading each page in context, catching what sounds off, and flagging it before a visitor ever sees it.
And I wanted to stay in charge. Agents can do the legwork, but I decide what they may publish on their own and what waits for my approval.
So I’m building it
If you know Weglot, think of LangRelay as a much simpler alternative, with the AI I couldn’t find anywhere else built in.
LangRelay translates your site where it already lives, starting with WordPress. Relay, our agent, handles the translation work you ask it for. When Relay drafts a change, a separate reviewer agent checks it the way a language expert would. Nothing goes live until you approve it.
Connecting your own assistant over MCP is next, so the same work can happen from the Claude you already use every day.
If translation has been a pain for you too, I’d like to hear about it. Write to me at support@langrelay.com.
